Nissan Gulf Cup Cricket 2007 Starts

The 2007 Gulf Cup 2007 hosted by Nissan started today at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Dubai, and a total of 27 teams from the UAE, UK and India joined this event, including sides from top six UAE universities.

This is the fourth successive year that Nissan has sponsored the event, which develops cricketing talent at three age levels - under-11s, under-14s and under-17s. Monal Zeidan, General Manager, Marketing and Corporate Communications at Nissan Middle East said, 'Nissan is keen to power sporting challenges that enrich people's lives.'

'The Nissan Gulf Cup gets bigger every year. With such an exciting line-up of international young cricket talent and with the sport being so popular in the GCC region, it has been our pleasure to give future generations a challenging platform to compete,' added Zeidan.

Participants will be exposed to the four new Nissan models that recently joined the large Middle East line-up from Nissan such as all-new Nissan Altima, Xterra, Qashqai and Navara, concluded Zeidan.
