Audi Q7 SUV Recalled For Software Defect

BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co Ltd, the China joint venture of Volkswagen AG and First Auto Works (FAW), will recall 4,076 imported Audi Q7 SUVs due to a software defect, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

Xinhua said the software controls the opening of the trunk. The defect may result in safety issues when users load and unload cargo.

The vehicles covered by the recall were manufactured between June 2006 and July 2007, Xinhua said.
